LFR-2
Friability is a mechanical test that aims to measure the resistance of tablets, capsules and seeds to breakage, friction or wear, for example, in the case of drops or friction in transport and wear of the coating.
The Friability Degree is widely used in Pharmaceutical Industry quality tests. The equipment can also be used to control the quality of seeds in the Agroindustry to meet the requirements in seed conditioning and conservation technology.
The Friabilometer structure is built in steel with anti-corrosion treatment and electrostatic powder painting. To carry out the Friability and Abrasiveness tests, it has two colorless acrylic cylinders (drums) measuring 300mm in diameter. For pharmaceutical applications, the minimum and maximum amount of product for each test must follow what is described in the Pharmacopoeia.
The equipment has a dedicated electronic board to control the variables, an LCD display and buttons to select the chosen parameters. The process time can be controlled up to 40 min and the rotation from 25 to 60 rpm or 25 to 100 rpm (according to the chosen model).
In addition, the equipment has an audible indication of the end of the test, a function that can be enabled or disabled for each process. Speed adjustment accuracy is + or -1 rpm and time adjustment accuracy is + or -1 min.
The equipment comes with a manual and SOP (Standard Operating Procedure).
